Detailed comparison table

The brokers in the ranking and, at the end and marked as partners, those with a commercial agreement with AR4: all measured by the same yardstick, side by side. The data that truly changes the decision: their AR4 Trust Score, who regulates them, how much you need to start, the spread they start from and on which platforms.

Frequently asked questions

How is each broker's AR4 Trust Score calculated?

With a public 100-point formula: regulation up to 30 (12 for each top-tier regulator, 6 for second-tier ones, 2 for other registrations), reputation up to 25 (the Trustpilot score converted to scale; without verified reviews that component adds no points and is marked as having no verified data, a score is never invented), operational quality up to 20, track record up to 15 (1 point per year since founding) and client policies up to 10. The full breakdown, component by component, is on the Methodology page and in each review, including those of the commercial partners. When a broker is missing a component, we still publish its score marked as provisional and state next to it how many points remain unverified and why. Those points are not assigned to it, so the figure is a floor and not a verdict: the day the missing data appears, it can only stay the same or go up. Missing data is not a low rating, but it is not given away either: hiding information takes points away, it never saves them.

Can a broker pay to be ranked higher?

No. The formula is the same for everyone, including those with which there is an affiliate agreement. Brokers with a commercial relationship are marked as partners and appear OUTSIDE the Trust Score ranking, with their drawbacks in plain view, precisely so as not to mix the two things. Outside the ranking does not mean without a score: their score and their component-by-component breakdown are on their card and in their review, just like anyone else's. And so you do not have to take our word for it: each partner's card states which position it would hold if it entered the ranking, calculated at that very moment with the same list and the same formula, so you can compare it with the ranking cards.

How much money do I need to open an account?

It depends on the broker: each one's minimum deposit is in the comparison table on this same page. It ranges from very low amounts to several hundred dollars. Almost all offer a free demo account, which is where it makes sense to start.

Does being regulated mean I cannot lose money?

No. Regulation reduces the risk of the broker misusing your money (segregation of funds, audits, compensation funds in some jurisdictions), but it does not eliminate market risk: you can lose your capital trading even if the broker is impeccable. They are two different risks.

How do I check on my own that a broker is regulated?

Look up the license number in the public register of the regulator shown on the profile (FCA in the United Kingdom, ASIC in Australia, CySEC in Cyprus, among others) and check that the entity's name matches the one that signs your contract. Many groups operate through several entities and not all of them hold the same license. The entity that opens the account from Peru at each broker, its regulator and the official registers to check it are in the broker regulation table.

Does AR4 Mercados give investment recommendations?

No. This site publishes information, comparisons and education. It does not issue buy or sell signals, does not make price predictions and does not offer regulated financial advice. The decision and the risk are always yours.
